The 2009 CX4 Season is now finished. I would like to extend my appreciation to the Brighton Team for a good season, especially to the "core players" who attended every event & most of the practices. I will admit that I had higher hopes for this team in the beggining of the season, however you guys didn't give up & finished the season in a respectable position & played a great 5th event (more like I expected your season to go). A team is a difficult thing to form & I hope that you have learned that there are more important factors in having a succesful team than just having talent & friends. Personality, coachability & mindset are far more important than just having the most talented players on your team. To all players who intend to play for us in the 2010 season, please keep this in mind when asked for your assistance in picking next seasons team. Only players who played the entire season will be exempt from tryouts & will be given first opportunity to lock in their position on a team for next season. Tryouts will be held around the beggining of October at our home field, those wanting to be on a team next season will be expected to attend & help run the tryouts. All players who are picked for a team will be expected to submit a deposit of $150.00 by the end of October 2009. We will be looking at practicing throughout the winter, there are several options including tournament series as well as a House League being run at Next Paintball. I will try & arrange a day when we can get all of the players from 2009 who are playing in the 2010 season to get together before the tryouts.
