Final IWPL Event

Awesome event, thought I'd show everyone this, it was a recap probably done by one of the owners/runners of the even, got it off Tdotballers. I think everyone here will be surprised what the final score was for the final game for Semper Fi and Joyceville..

Here's are the results from today's final:

Semper Fi vs Codrington - Semper showed up today with their game faces on. An early major put Codrington down and after that Semper Fi just had to much power for the CX4 guys. Final Semper Fi 13 - Codrington 2

Oshawa vs Adrenaline - This game was a battle from the first horn. Long points, often the last man standing hanging the flag. By halftime Fury had built a hard fought 4 - 2 lead. In the second half Adrenaline came back, tying the game with 18 seconds on the clock. The tie breaker was a race to 2 series of 1 on 1s. Each team named 3 shooters and the order in which they would shoot. Adrenaline took the first point, no point for the second round, Fury ties it up in the third round, both shooters trade out in the fourth, and in the fifth round of the shootout Fury pulls out the win. Final Fury 7 - Adrenaline 6.

Semper Fi vs Fury - Unfortunately for Fury they had to step right back on the field against Semper Fi. Semper picked up right where they left off, and Fury just didn't have much left after the tough game against Adrenaline. Final Semper Fi 12 - Fury 0

Codrington vs Adrenaline - This was the consolation final, and looked like Adrenaline's earlier game. Codrington came out on fire, building up a 4 - 2 lead by halftime, with Adrenaline battling back to get a 6 to 5 lead. Codrington scored the tying point with less than 2 minutes left. The game ended in a tie and again a race to 2 shoot out decided the outcome. It took 4 rounds of 1 on 1s before Adrenaline finally scored the winning point.

Championship Final - Joyceville and Semper Fi. This was Semper's third game of the day. They really knew the field, while Joyceville was cold, and trying to get comfortable on the field. There was strong gunplay on both sides but Semper Fi had opened up a 5 - 2 lead by halftime. In the second half Joyceville got the field down and started to dominate the snake. Semper fi was tireing, their moves weren't as sharp but they hung in. Joyceville scored the tying point with 1:33 to go in the game. The final point saw Semper drop a couple of players on the break, a trade out made it 4 players to 2 for Joyceville as thet pressed upfield. Semper dropped another player and towelled with 26 seconds left. On the ensueing point Semper stormed up the field gunfighting on the Joyceville half, but just couldn't close out the point before the horn. Final Joyceville 8 - Semper Fi 7

Congratulations to Joyceville!! They were solid everygame. Also Semper Fi who were right there. Two games between these teams produce a total differential of 2 points. Props to both teams. Also a big shout out to Adrenaline and Codrington. Both these teams improved immensely as the League progressed. Either would look very comfortable in RXL and they should consider a franchise for next year. The Fury guys were a mix of all their teams. These guys will be a force at all levels. They have great outside speed and solid snake players. Watch out for these guys this year.

On behalf of Infinite Paintball and Elmira Nemesis thanks to all the teams that participated this year. This was our first year running this and we've learned enough to ensure next year will be even better. Once again Congratulations Joyceville league champions for this year.

sudbury is new so i dont know anything about them....

and to top that, CX4 Event 1 feild layout is the exact same as the last IWPL layout was..

well pretty much except for those new snake triangular stand up stuff.

by the way, does anyone know where i can read over the Cx4 rules again? It's not on the site anymore.

omg. i need to pre dig a trench to my bunker so i can make it there. i had so much trouble last event. I just need to play tighter.

OR, make sure your raid buffed before breakout and if you start getting low hp just use your paladin bubble to make it out to the desired place on the field; then call for bloodlust, use divine storm and its ez-mode.... at least that's what I did for the event and 1v1 and I think I did well.... just a thought

we're playing 4 man in semi.... you almost always make it to your bunker

Steve im a shadow priest, i thought you knew that. We'll get caleb to sheep the other team OTB, and then mike can throw down some rain of fire while brigham aggros them, that should help a little too.
